FIRST THINGS FIRST
On View January 9 - February 6, 2010
Extended Gallery Hours:  Monday - Saturday 10am-5pm

FIRST THINGS FIRST will feature the works of more than fifty well-known Cape Cod artists as they explore those things that are most important to them. This unique, free exhibit will introduce students of all ages to the work of established artists from Cape Cod, while encouraging their own creativity through engaging educational activities during their visit.

Keeping younger arts patrons in mind, art work will be displayed at a height of 4 feet throughout the exhibit -- right at children's eye level.  A special mini-art library will be made available to all visitors, and a series of child-friendly events will be scheduled over the course of the exhibit. School groups will be welcomed to the exhibit for free for the duration of the show, and will be given docent-led tours and art instruction customized to the age of the children.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.  For information about the exhibit, the artists being featured, and opportunities for school groups to visit the exhibit, please call the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod at 508-362-0066 or visit
www.artsfoundation.org.

FIRST THINGS FIRST
is presented by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and generously sponsored by the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, the Donald C. McGraw Foundation, Inc. and Cape Cod Melody Tent.
