"Particularly if you appreciate art, this show is a must-see." - CAPE COD TIMES

"Whether you see 'Sunday in the Park With George' on Sunday or not, just see it. It would be a blessing on any day of the week." - BARNSTABLE PATRIOT

This stunning masterpiece by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine centers on enigmatic painter George Seurat and his search for love, inspiration, and “the art of making art.” One of the most acclaimed musicals ever, this Pulitzer Prize winner features a glorious score. Sunday in the Park with George promises to be the theatrical event of the summer.

The musical follows painter Georges Seurat in the months leading up to the completion of his most famous painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. Consumed by his need to “finish the hat,” Seurat alienates the French bourgeoisie, spurns his fellow artists, and neglects his lover Dot, not realizing that his actions will reverberate over the next 100 years.
