Locations:
Throughout the village of Couit from 10am-5pm

village-wide maritime festival paying tribute to the glories of Cotuit's martime
and nautical past. Events at Cahoon Museum of American Art and Cotuit Center
for the Arts, trolley tours and more!
Cost: Some events free; some

At Cotuit
Center for the Arts, SeaCotuit will come alive with several
fascinating programs.
Staged readings of Poems from the Sea from the
whaler "Splendid" (circa 1849) and excerpts from the whaler's Captain's log will
undoubtedly be a crowd pleaser -- along with a presentation by Pulitzer Prize
nominee, Emmy Award Winner, author and Cotuit resident, Martin W. Sandler
discussing naval history in the 19th century from his book "Resolute - The Epic
Search for the Northwest Passage."
In addition, artifacts will be on
display f rom The Cape Cod Coast Guard Museum along with prints by maritime
historical artist William G. Muller - many of the prints for sale in the
Center's gallery. Art workshops for children will be scheduled at the CCftA
during the festival for young, wannabe adventurers.

If you missed either of the two soul-stirring, foot-stomping, dance- the -night -away concerts earlier this year that wowed sell-out crowds, don't miss this encore concert!
"Whitfield sings in a ferocious yell that recalls a
whole tradition of 60's soul music...The band's originals have the snap and
concision of great lost hit singles, and rumor has it that the band is even
better on stage, which is almost hard to
believe." --
